custom impressions for temporary crowns.
When making temporary restorations, you can be in and out of the patient’s mouth in 30 seconds with Temporary Crown Matrix Buttons from Advantage Dental. Simply soften a button in hot water. Then form it around the tooth (or teeth) to be prepped. Blow air to harden. Then remove. That’s all there is to it.
Here are additional ways to use our Temporary Crown Matrix Buttons:
- To insulate sensitive teeth while operating in another area
- For an anterior bruxing device to offset clenching and grinding problems
- For bite registrations
- To implant shims to guide placement
- To border molding trays for denture impressions
Separating Medium
For use with our buttons when employing acrylics
To use acrylics with our Temporary Crown Matrix Buttons, the Separating Medium must also be used. The heat generated by acrylics causes sticking inside thermoplastic matrix buttons.
Therefore, the Separating Medium is dabbed onto the internal surface of the matrix button prior to putting the acrylic in to aid separation once the acrylic has set up. The Separating Medium is not necessary when using most composites with out buttons.
